We sowed sunflower seeds and mowed the surrounding grass in hopes of blooming in November.

We sowed sunflower seeds in planters, around the tower, and on the mountain side in hopes that they would be in full bloom on the day of the “39th Sidotti Yakushima Landing Commemoration Festival'' scheduled for November 23rd.

It is unknown whether the flowers will bloom as planned as the days continue to be hotter than usual, but we hope that they will add some color to the event venue.
