One of the two Norfolk Island Pine trees that stand on the planned construction site of the Memorial Museum had its trunk broken under the influence of Typhoon No. 14. It was probably planted when the church was established 34 years ago. This tree is very rare in Yakushima, which is native to Norfolk Island, Australia, and its leaves look as if they were carefully lined up with Edo cords. We just pray that it will regenerate again from the leftover roots.
