The exhibition at the Nagasaki Oura Church Christian Museum ended on October 19th.
The previous day, on the 18th, we visited the Kagoshima prefectural office and had the opportunity to meet Governor Shiota and explain our project towards the establishment of the “Yakushima Sidotti Memorial Museum”.
When Governor Shiota was working at the Japanese Embassy in Rome, he worked with Sumiko Furukawa (currently residing in Milan) every day, who translated “The Last Missionary Sidotti” (written by Tomoko Furui) into French. By the coincidence of this, Governor Shiota listened intently to our activities.
